Aid for Earthquake and Tsunami Survivors

We join in prayer and action for the millions affected by the Tsunami.  As a Diocese, Bishop Tafoya has asked all parishes to give a special collection for relief that will go to Catholic Relief Services(CRS), one of the most trusted aid agencies.  We hope you can contribute to that effort.

If you wish to mail directly to us a donation for CRS, send to Tsunami Aid Relief, 1001 N. Grand Ave., Pueblo, CO 81003.  Write “Tsunami Aid” on your check made out to “Diocese of Pueblo.”  Your total donation will go to CRS for the relief.  You may donate directly to CRS as well.

We also realize people may want to send relief via other agencies and relief efforts.  Below is a list of trusted humanitarian organizations put together by Sojourners.  We are grateful to them for providing the list.  As they say, the list is by no means complete or exhaustive of all worthy organizations.  (FYI, Mercy Corps and Jesuit Refugee Services are other Catholic agencies in the list of those that do a good job of getting your money to the people.)
